Trials
or suffering in human life always affects two things those are tragedy or
triumph, depending on how we deal with trials or suffering. We must realize also that victory never comes
without effort or struggle. Without a
competition or fight there will be no victory. Once a biology teacher taught
his disciples how the birth of a caterpillar into a butterfly. As he lays the
cocoon on his desk, he said to his disciples the butterflies are born having to
fight to get out of, and no one can help
except himself. Having said this, the teacher then went out of the classroom.
The
disciples wait when the butterfly go out of the “cocoon”. A few moments later,
begin to look a butterfly in a cocoon fight to get out. The disciples saw how
difficult the struggle of butterfly went out of the cocoon. Motivated by
compassion of trouble on the butterflies, then a student decides to help his
struggle out of the cocoon. That student then ripped the skin of cocoon, the
butterfly came out easily, but shortly afterwards the butterfly died. When
their teacher returned to class and find out what happened, he also rebuked his
disciples as he explained that helped the butterfly was the same with killing
him. It was a natural law that a butterfly’s struggle to break out of the
chrysalis skin is a process to help strengthening in the body, especially its
wings to be able to live and fly.
The
same principle also applies in the course of human life. There is nothing
worthwhile comes without effort. There is no victory without a match. We cannot
expect that road of life well always go through will be always smoothly without
interruption. We did not have to ask that God allowed to raise any issues that
occurred in our lives. But pray for strength to face the trials of life no
matter how serious it was. There are times when we are faced with all kinds of
suffering to train yourself to be thoroughly tested, which in turn provide
strength and maturity. You want a proven and mature life? Live with full of
fighting spirit for because Life is a struggle.
